About G. David Lapin
Lapin's professional real estate career has spanned over three decades in the real estate and mortgage industries, both commercial and residential sectors.
During this time, Lapin has been influential in bridging property management, development, construction, investment sales and finance including mortgage banking and brokerage of both conventional and alternative real estate financing, and the workouts of real property security interests comprising of both mortgages and deeds of trust.
Lapin's transaction experience encompasses originating, processing, and closing 5,000+ conventional mortgages, and the underwriting, packaging, funding, closing, and servicing of 175+ alternative real estate mortgages totaling $42m with an average note rate of 9.788%.
He is also founder, principal owner, President and Broker of Record of Hanover Mortgage Company, a Private Money Lending & Trust Deed Investment Company located in Orange County, California and is responsible for the overall vision, direction, administration, and operational activities of the company.
He is a past contributor of articles to real estate and finance periodicals and a speaker on the topic of private money lending and trust deed investing. Lapin was featured in Robert Irwin's book, Armchair Real Estate Investor, and most recently hosted his own radio show, "The Hard Money Hour."
G. David Lapin holds a Real Estate Broker's License from the State of California Bureau of Real Estate with the special designation from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System ("NMLS").
Lapin lives in Orange County, CA with his wife, Jo-Ann and their two children. He is an alumnus of California State University (Fullerton), with concentrated study in the areas of real estate and finance. He also earned an Associate of Arts degree in economics from Irvine Valley College and conducted a portion of his studies at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.
